Social justice means to me is the capability of being honest with each other, Owning up the mistakes we make in our life. I am always honest to others, to my; friends, classmates, teachers, family. In the past, in elementary, I told many lies to others. The lies ruin their lives and in the last year of elementary and in both freshman and sophomore year, I remember what I have done to the ones I caused harm. After that my father told me to never lie to other. Until now I have being honest to others.
The obstacles we face while struggling to achieve social justice are the lies we say to each other: on love ones, friends, family members, in society. In a world full of lies, we struggle together. pulling ourselves down with lies, tearing each other apart. Without lies we; can understand one another, conflict will end. o more needless bloodshed. The fights and wars we cause are spawns of lies we created to protect ourselves. Almost every conflict is caused by lies. Columbus lied to King of Spain of the condition of the natives. Columbus’ men killed the remaining natives who survived to diseases that was brought by Columbus and his men. The wars the United States started after 9/11 that Saddam Hussein caused the attacks in 9/11. But Osama Bin Laden caused the attacks. Millions of citizens died, all from a lie that Hussein made the attacks.
To finally achieve social justice we have to realize that our lying is a double edged sword. We have trust each other because with the lies we make cause us to misunderstand each other. Being honest with each other can help us understand one another and conflict will end. My role in this struggle is to show that being honest is not a bad part of yourself. What really matters are results we produce.
